ACHTERGROND
Het risico op hart- en vaatziekten is sterk verhoogd bij mensen met ernstige psychiatrische aandoeningen (EPA), net als het risico op diabetes.
DOEL
Dit risico verlagen door vroegtijdig risicofactoren te verminderen of weg te nemen.
METHODEN
Gestructureerd monitoren en waar nodig verwijzen voor behandeling.
RESULTATEN
Een model voor cardiometabool risicomanagement zal worden gepresenteerd, met de laatste inzichten op het gebied van behandeling.
CONCLUSIE
Risicofactoren kunnen worden verminderd door keuzes tussen de diverse psychofarmaca, maar ook door structurele monitoring en waar nodig behandeling.
